Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
This policy is binding. Violation may result in immediate license revocation without refund. If you are unsure whether a use case is permitted, email us before proceeding.
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use GetOutpulse. It exists to protect email recipients, maintain the integrity of email infrastructure, and ensure GetOutpulse is used only for legitimate outreach.
This AUP is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. By using GetOutpulse, you agree to this AUP.
2. Permitted Use
GetOutpulse is designed and licensed for:
- B2B cold outreach — contacting business professionals about products or services relevant to their role or industry
- Recruitment outreach — contacting candidates about legitimate employment opportunities
- Partnership and investor outreach — reaching out to relevant businesses or investors
- Agency client campaigns — running outreach on behalf of clients with appropriate authorisation
- Lead generation and prospecting — building lists of potential customers and enriching them for personalised contact
All permitted use must comply with applicable law and the requirements in Section 4.
3. Prohibited Use
You may not use GetOutpulse to:
Email and spam violations
- Send unsolicited commercial email (spam) in violation of CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, or any other applicable law
- Send email to any address on a suppression list, unsubscribe list, or to any person who has previously opted out of receiving email from you
- Send email with deceptive subject lines, from addresses, or headers that misrepresent the sender
- Send phishing emails, messages containing malware, ransomware, or other malicious content
- Use purchased, rented, or harvested email lists where recipients have not consented to receive email from you (where consent is legally required)
- Obscure or omit the legally required physical mailing address in commercial emails
Harmful or illegal content
- Send content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
- Target individuals based on protected characteristics (race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, etc.)
- Impersonate any person, company, or organisation without authorisation
- Send content that violates intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or confidentiality obligations
- Engage in market manipulation, securities fraud, or any financial fraud scheme
Platform misuse
- Resell, sublicense, or transfer your GetOutpulse license to unrelated third parties
- Use GetOutpulse as a multi-tenant platform to serve multiple unrelated end clients on a single license (Agency licenses are available separately)
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the proprietary source code of GetOutpulse
- Use the API in a way that circumvents or undermines rate limits, security controls, or authentication
- Scrape or harvest data from third-party services in violation of their terms of service
High-risk industries
GetOutpulse may not be used for outreach related to:
- Unsolicited financial products (payday loans, predatory lending, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing)
- Adult content or escort services
- Pharmaceutical drugs without appropriate licensing
- Gambling services where unlicensed or illegal in the recipient's jurisdiction
- Political campaign canvassing targeting individuals who have not opted in
- Any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the recipient's jurisdiction
4. Compliance Requirements
You are responsible for understanding and complying with email regulations in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of your recipients. At minimum:
CAN-SPAM Act (United States)
- Include a clear and conspicuous physical mailing address in every commercial email
- Include a working unsubscribe mechanism and honour opt-out requests within 10 business days
- Do not use deceptive subject lines or "from" fields
- Identify the message as an advertisement if it is one
CASL (Canada)
- Obtain express or implied consent before sending commercial electronic messages
- Identify yourself and include your mailing address and a working unsubscribe mechanism
- Implied consent applies for certain B2B contacts (existing business relationships, published contact information used within their role)
GDPR / UK GDPR (European Union / United Kingdom)
- Establish and document a lawful basis for processing personal data (legitimate interest is most common for B2B cold outreach)
- Include a privacy notice or link in your emails where required
- Honour data subject rights (access, erasure, portability, objection) promptly
- Do not send cold email to private individuals (consumers) without prior consent
General best practices required
- Verify email addresses before sending to reduce hard bounces — GetOutpulse provides verification tools for this purpose
- Maintain and respect global unsubscribe lists across all campaigns
- Use accurate sender information — send from domains you own and have authenticated (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Do not exceed reasonable daily send volumes that could damage shared email infrastructure
5. Volume and Rate Limits
GetOutpulse includes built-in daily send caps, auto-pause on bounce thresholds, and warmup recommendations. You must use these safeguards. Deliberately disabling or circumventing safety limits to send at volumes that harm email deliverability infrastructure is prohibited.
Recommended maximum cold-send volumes without warmup: 30–50 emails/day per mailbox from a new domain. GetOutpulse's warmup recommendations are guidelines, not guarantees.
6. Reporting Abuse
If you receive unsolicited email sent using GetOutpulse, or believe a GetOutpulse user is violating this AUP, please report it to: [email protected]
Include the full email headers (showing the sending server) and a description of the violation. We will investigate all reports.
7. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Revoke your license immediately and without notice for AUP violations
- Decline to issue a refund where a license is revoked for cause
- Cooperate with law enforcement investigations involving use of GetOutpulse
- Pursue legal remedies for violations that cause harm to third parties or to us
We take a pragmatic approach to enforcement — good-faith users with isolated mistakes will receive a warning first where possible. Deliberate, repeated, or large-scale violations result in immediate termination.
